| Conveniently located in a tranquil area of San Antonio adjacent to Brackenridge Park, the Witte Museum offers a unique setting for weddings, receptions, conferences or business meetings. The Prassel Auditorium comfortably accommodates 200 people for a seated dinner. It has a permanent stage, dance floor, and audio/visual capabilities. Rental of the Prassel Auditorium includes use of the lovely veranda and courtyard. For additional seating, the Prassel Foyer and Pryor Hall are available and are included in the Prassel rental fee. |

If you would like to check on availability of the facility, please call. Should
the date you desire be available and you wish to reserve it, we will gladly
do so. Reservations are tentatively held for two weeks. At the end of
two weeks you must confirm your reservation or the date will be released.
A signed contract with a deposit confirms your reservation.

The Witte Museum has a list of approved caterers. These caterers are familiar with the Witte Museum. They will work with you to create a beautiful setting for your reception, conference or meeting. We will be happy to review the list with you if you have any questions. If there is a certain caterer that you wish to work with who is not on our list, please call the special events staff and we will make a concerted effort to accommodate these requests.

Private Event Information and Rates
Receptions/Weddings at the Witte
The Witte Museum offers the perfect atmosphere for your wedding reception. For an additional fee the wedding may be held on the grounds of the museum. (In case of rain, the wedding will move to the Memorial Auditorium, subject to availability.
Memorial Auditorium Package:
The Memorial Auditorium has 925 square feet. It is equipped with a stage and track lighting. Additional seating is available outdoors on the terra-cotta patio and in the picturesque Butterfly Garden.
Capacity: 80 to 125 people
Prassel Auditorium Package:
The Prassel Auditorium has 3,300 square feet plus the adjoining veranda and courtyard area. It is equipped with a permanent stage, dance floor and audio/visual capabilities. The Auditorium opens to the foyer and main hallway of the museum, which are also included in this package.
Capacity: 160 people in Prassel Auditorium to 500 people using the Veranda and Courtyard
Prassel/H-E-B Science Treehouse Package:
This package combines the Prassel Auditorium with use of the Witte's 15,000 square foot H-E-B Science Treehouse. The Treehouse is an educational playground that includes hands-on science exhibits that appeal to all ages.
Capacity: 300 to 600 people
All Facilities Package:
This package includes the Prassel Auditorium, the H-E-B Science Treehouse, the Witte Museum Building, and the museum grounds.
Capacity: 1500 people
Daytime Rentals:
During business hours, auditorium space is available on a limited basis. Public areas are not available for rent before 5:00 p. m.
Evening Rentals:
Prices are based on a 4-hour event with attendance of up to 250 guests. Evening events must begin after 5:00 pm and end by midnight.
Prassel Auditorium only: Capacity: 200 people
Memorial Auditorium only: Capacity: 100 people
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A damage deposit is held with event paperwork and returned following the event if there has been no damage to the facilities or grounds.
60" and 66" round tables and 8' rectangular tables and upholstered maroon chairs may be rented.
Extra hours (over 4 hours) are an extra charge.
One half of the rental fee is due with the signed contract.
Remainder of all rental fees (including rented equipment) must be paid in full one month prior to event.
