Jessica and Richard met though a mutual friend, while Jessica was working at a local restaurant in San Antonio. As they got to know each other better, it was clear that they were meant to be together. Before long, Richard had taken a second job at the restaurant to spend more time with her. Richard knew right away that he wanted to marry Jessica and knew that there was something so special in her eyes that he did not find in anyone else.

Just over a year ago, Jessica says, she had a dream that Richard had proposed to her. Jessica grew up in a wonderful home with truly loving parents, and had always dreamed of having a family of her own. Amazingly, that same day, Richard presented her with a ring and asked her to take his hand in marriage. Jessica was overfilled with joy and excitement. The couple enjoyed their friendship and watched their relationship grow over the next year.

When in came time to chose the venue for Jessica and Richard’s wedding, there was only one place that came to mind. They chose to have their wedding at La Fontana Springs, a place that already held a special place in their hearts. La Fontana Springs is a beautiful event center that was recently built by Jessica’s parents on the edge of the Texas Hill Country. Named for its grand fountain, the venue is surrounded by a beautiful country landscape. The gorgeous gazebo and grounds are complimented by a grand ballroom that is lavishly furnished and designed to create an elegant interior space with a view of the rolling hills.

The Trivinos were pleased to offer their only daughter, Jessica, a wedding fit for a princess. Jessica says that the planning process was a delight, as her parents, Nancy and Cesar took care of every detail to make sure they had the perfect wedding, a practice they have grown accustomed to while working with other couples at La Fontana Springs. During the months leading up to the wedding, Cesar and Nancy worked hard to add improvements to their venue; including new landscaping, decking and refinishing the gazebo.

When the day finally came, everything was in place for a beautiful evening.

As Jessica made her way across the Serenity Garden and down the fresh petal-filled path to the gazebo, her breathtaking beauty brought tears to the eyes of many. As her father escorted her down the isle, they both treasured the emotional moment they would never forget. Jessica’s beautiful white silk gown, from Puttin’ On The Ritz, had a halter top connected to the bodice in an elegant V across her back and a full skirt and train. The couple was joined by their families in place of a wedding party. The ceremony was a touching moment of peaceful reflection on the couple’s deep love for each other. The white gazebo and picket fence created an intimate space for the couple and their guests that the bride says was simply magical. After their traditional vows, Jessica and Richard took time to recite their own personal promises to each other. “Though life may not be as perfect as this day,” Richard said, “I want you to know that I will always be your best friend.”

After the garden ceremony, 300 guests entered the grand ballroom for an unforgettable reception. Black pin tuck satin linens and white chair covers with black chair satin sashes were supplied by An Event to Remember, and the tables were beautifully decorated by Petals by the Fountain, a company Jessica and Richard have started. The elegant table arrangements were crackled hurricane vases and tall pillar candles embedded in deep red-rose wreaths with white hydrangeas and black satin bows to accent the guests’ tables and signify the richness of their love. The guests were served a delicious gourmet meal prepared by Executive Chef Barry Miller of Heavenly Caterers consisting of steak and jumbo shrimps with green beans and honey-glazed baby carrots, garlic duchess potatoes, garden salad with raspberry dressing and raspberry tea. For entertainment, Mariachi Del Primo provided music for the couple and guests alike and the DJ services were provided by JJ & DJ Rental Services.

Emotions ran high and Jessica was swept off her feet as Richard embraced her on the dance floor. Richard went all out to make their first dance as memorable as their wedding. The couple chose the song “Love” by Musiq, a song Jessica remembers Richard singing to her frequently in the car while they were dating. Then, Jessica and her father danced to “Mi Niña Bonita” and Cesar cherished the dance with his daughter. Afterward, Jessica displayed her musical talent as she sang “At Last” by Etta James, for the groom’s dance with his godmother. Jessica’s serenade was especially touching because the song was the favorite of Richard’s mom, Belinda Nuncio, who tragically passed away to cancer a year prior.

The evening culminated when the couple sliced the five tier cake by D’Pasteles, decorated with white buttercream icing, black swirled hearts, black fondant ribbon, black beading and the couples monogram. The groom’s cake was a legendary Earl Abel’s coconut cake, which Richard has enjoyed since he was 11 years old for every birthday.

Cesar and Nancy say the whole experience has given them a new perspective on serving brides and their parents. They have worked hard to make every bride’s wedding at La Fontana Springs a special event, but honestly knowing how it feels to be the parents of the bride has given them a more complete perspective.
Jessica and Richard agree they are each others best friends and are everything to each other. Jessica now has the delightful honor of being the step-mother to Richard’s daughter, Jaz-mine, and has formed a loving bond with her. Her dreams of having a loving family just like her own have been fulfilled.
